Working closely with agency Coate PR & Stable Events, we provided the official videography for The Game Fair at Blenheim Palace.
Working across the full event for 3 days, we provided a camera crew and on-site editing team tasked with creating reels and turning around content briefs specific to each day of the event. Every post had fantastic online engagement over the course of the 3 days.
We also produced a 30-second advert on the first day of the event to be shown on the main arena screens showcasing what The Game Fair had to offer.
All footage was delivered after the event to help with the promotion for the following year.

Our Process

Step 1
Creative
Our client was very keen to use us for this project because of our cinematic approach to video production. The brief was to make a batch of reels per day of the event that would go out ‘real-time’ across social media platforms. It was important that the visuals were fun, engaging, diverse and vibrant. The edits needed to be punchy and impactful showing what the event had on offer.

Step 2
Planning
Planning to film across the event for the 3 days took around 2-3 weeks. We received the running schedule for the event and had to work out which camera operator would cover each stage or demonstration. As there was so much going on, our client had a priority list which we needed to film. We also had to capture general atmosphere shots so organising everyone's time was crucial. As we were editing live ‘on-site’ we also needed to schedule the editing time so the camera operators and editors were working together to hit the brief. Our client was also very keen on using a drone camera and because the location was next to an airport we had to clear all the checks and paperwork in order to fly prior to the event.

Step 3
Production
For this project we used a number of cameras. 2 cine cameras, GoPros and drones. We had a crew of 4 people working across the site. This consisted of 2 camera ops, an editor and runner. Every morning we would have a pre-meeting to discuss the reels that needed to be produced that day, and make any changes to the running schedule.

Step 4
Post-Production
This project left us with little post-production after the event as we were editing on the event days. We provided a clip library to the client post event for their marketing team. This helped in the promotion of the following year's event as they were able to post clips throughout the year building engagement on their social channels. Our edits were also used on the official event website.

"Working with the Cotswold Film Company for both The Game Fair and Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials has been an outstanding experience. I briefed the team on what to capture and the specific reels we needed to produce during the events and they executed our vision flawlessly. Their ability to adapt to our requirements, while also offering their own creative input, ensured that the final content was not only visually stunning but perfectly tailored to our needs. They truly captured the essence of both events, creating engaging reels that have resonated with our audience. Their professionalism, combined wth a keen understanding of event filming, makes them a fantastic partner to work with.”.
