So here we are, the final blog post of the year and what a year it has been… I’d love to talk about every single shoot but quite frankly I don’t have the time to write it and you probably don’t have the time to read it!
2025 has been our best year ever as a business, and it wouldn’t be possible without the team we have at CFC, our clients, friends and supporters. This year we had such a diverse range of jobs, from filming wild grouse in Scotland to racehorses at Henry De Bromheads yard in Ireland.
We released ‘A Racing Mind’ on Amazon Prime, something which we are extremely proud of. We have wanted to create a documentary for many years but had never managed to see one through to the end. The combined energy and enthusiasm from Lilly added to the consistent quality storytelling plus the editing from Billie ended with a successful release. The racing press got behind it and Louis went on ‘Luck on Sunday’ live to talk about it. So many of you have watched it now and we really are so grateful!
In 2025, the team started to grow again. We worked with more freelancers than ever before; some really quality people who we count as part of our team. Sonny Mackay (camera op), Ben Pankhurst (camera op), Danny Gill (camera op), Josh John (editor), George Souster (camera op), Steve Bridger (animator), Joe Morgan (videographer), Harry Steele (sound design), Joe Otter (sound recordist), Stan Mountford (production assistant), Ellie Williams (sound recordist). If you are reading this and are in need of a freelancer, I’d recommend all of these amazing people. Also, a special mention to Abby Batson. Abby worked with us for a large chunk of the year and is a fantastic marketeer. She really brought our social media to life, as well as helping us on so many jobs.
A shout out to our website designer Tom Clarke who constantly keeps the website up to date all year round as well as managing our Google ads and SEO. The team also grew on a permanent capacity this year, Brooke Young joined us as has brought so much. She has started to get everything more organised behind the scenes and we are building some really cool processes. Last and certainly not least I’d like to mention our editor Billie. Billie has been the backbone of our business this year and we really couldn’t have done it without her. She’s been working at maximum capacity all year from start to finish, delivering edits on time for our clients. She also really kept the dream alive with ‘A Racing Mind’, even when I was ready to pop the idea on the shelf!
We would like to say an enormous thank you to all our clients who have continued to support us throughout the year and we wish you all a very merry Christmas, hopefully consisting of plenty of good food, and we look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year!
Thank you for reading and best wishes,
Louis, Pete, Billie and Brooke x
